At Smiles Ahead, your dental health means more than just ticking boxes. We take the time to understand your concerns, restore your comfort, and protect your long-term well-being because a healthy smile isn’t just about your teeth, it’s about your quality of life.

I’ve been going to Smiles Ahead for almost 5 years now and I’ve got nothing but great words to say. I called for an emergency appointment for my jaw this January and got booked in really quickly and saw Shree, the new dentist, which was so convenient as she specialises in jaws and aches. Shree did a whole thorough assessment of my jaw, X-rays etc. gave me some exercises, and sorted me out with some really good retainers plus a temporary one to see me through until they were ready. I’m now completely pain free after following her instructions and I couldn’t be happier! The whole team are amazing and all very positive and gentle, which is great for people who maybe aren’t so confident going to the dentist. Thanks Shree and the team!

Evie

The treatment I received was excellent. As the patient you are given a full and thorough examination, and everything is explained step by step. All the staff make you feel at ease. Highly recommende the practice.

Gwenda

Simply the best.

Issi

“Everyone at Smiles Ahead has been so amazing. I had to go in as an emergency patient and they got a slot for me that morning. I had a panicky episode on my first visit but I was given the right support to get me ready for my next visit and tooth extraction. That first evening, I had a call just to check I was doing okay which was greatly appreciated."

Hayley Vann

“Today was my first visit and I would highly recommend! Reception staff were very friendly
and welcoming and dentist was professional and thorough, he explained everything perfectly.
Thank you so much!”

Sinead Hyldon

“Been a patient with Smiles Ahead for many years now and can honestly say the care has been exemplary. The staff are always professional and friendly and will go above and beyond for you if need be. They deserve all the accolades they have received. Thank you all.”

A personal approach from your first visit to our Corby practice

We know that visiting the dentist can feel overwhelming. That’s why we take the time to get to know you properly, listening to your needs and guiding you through your options with openness and care.

Our dedicated team supports patients from Corby, Great Oakley, Rockingham, and Little Stanion with gentle, fully private care in a warm and welcoming setting. Whether you're coming in for the first time or returning after years, we’ll meet you where you are and move at a pace that feels right for you.

If you’re a nervous patient, you’re never rushed or judged. Just supported, step by step.

What to expect when you visit Smiles Ahead

Your initial visit

When you book a new patient examination at our Corby practice, we’ll carry out a thorough assessment of your oral health. This includes detailed checks of your teeth, gums, and soft tissues, as well as any necessary X-rays or scans. We’ll discuss any concerns you may have and help you understand your dental health in clear, simple terms.

Personalised dental care plan

Once you’re registered with us, we recommend visiting every 6 months for a dental health check and hygiene appointment to keep your teeth and gums healthy.

If we find anything during your new patient appointment or routine visit, we’ll talk you through our recommended treatment plan. This might mean a filling, crown, or root canal treatment to relieve your discomfort and get your oral health back on track.

Whatever we suggest, your dentist will talk you through everything so you know exactly what to expect in terms of procedures, timings, and costs.

Frequently asked questions about dental care in Corby

What should I expect at a new patient exam?

Your new patient appointment includes a full dental health check, all necessary X-rays, and time to discuss any concerns or goals you have for your smile. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of your oral health and any recommended next steps.

Do you offer direct access hygiene appointments?

Yes, we do. At Smiles Ahead, you can book a hygiene appointment directly without needing to see a dentist first. This is known as a direct access appointment.

It’s ideal if you:

  • Aren’t registered with a dentist
  • Want a scale and polish between check-ups
  • Need a freshen-up for your oral health

Our hygienist, Nasir, will assess your gum health, carry out a professional clean, and offer personalised hygiene advice. However, please note that as a hygienist, Nasir cannot diagnose or treat dental diseases or prescribe medications. If he notices anything that needs further attention, he’ll recommend that you see a dentist.

A direct access appointment lasts 30 minutes and costs £88. A £40 deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment.

Do you offer payment plans for dental treatment?

Yes, we offer flexible options to help spread the cost of your treatment, with payments made at each stage and a final balance due on completion. We also have a dental membership for routine visits. Your dentist will be happy to talk you through these options at your appointment.

I’m a nervous patient — can you help?

Absolutely. We take time to understand what makes you feel anxious and tailor our care to your needs. You’ll never be rushed, and we’ll explain everything clearly so you feel in control. Our friendly team is experienced in supporting nervous patients across Corby and Northamptonshire.

Ready to prioritise your dental health?

Book your appointment today and we’ll be in touch within 24 hours to arrange your private dental appointment.
